The Daily Wine Down (10-26)
No Time For Streaming
Although MGM is rumored to have flirted with the $600M sale of ‘No Time To Die’ to the streaming services, they have announced definitely (as of now) that the movie is not for sale. The latest installment and Daniel Craig’s last of the Bond franchise is still slated for an April 2021 theatrical release. I must say that I for one am happy the movie will remain in theaters. I have said many times, I love going to the movies and it is one of the things I truly miss about this quarantine. I know it’s tempting for a lot of studios to sell the movies to the streamers and cut their losses, but if they all do that the theater industry will surely die and they’re already hemorrhaging badly. Here’s hoping for a much better 2021, for all of us. (Variety)
Zooming In On 'A Different World'
The final installment in the Zoom table read series will feature one of my all-time favorites, ‘A Different World’. The show will air on October 27 at 6:00 PM PST/9:00 PM EST in partnership with Zoom. The series is presented by Black women artists in an effort to raise awareness and activation around voting rights. I watched the Friends episode and loved it. I hope they release all the others for those of us who may have missed them. (Deadline)
How Should It End?
Ever since I heard the series was coming to an end, I’ve been thinking about how it all end and how they will tie up loose ends. What will they do with Paul Walker’s character Brian? Will he remain happily retired? How the hell is Han still alive? (Not a spoiler if you have seen the trailer. )Although I am sure that will be answered next summer when, if, the movie is released. Will there be any more spinoffs, besides Hobbs & Shaw? Will they be female-centered? So many questions. (EW)
Out of Sight, Out of Mind
David Fincher, the producer of the Mindhunter has officially announced that there probably won’t be a third season of the Netflix drama. This is not surprising since the cast had been released from their contracts. I must admit it is still sad. This show was just as good as it was creepy. Even though we aren’t getting a season 3, I still highly recommend the first two seasons. (TVLine)

Ava DuVernay's 'Sovereign' Project
Ava DuVerany’s new drama has been given a put pilot commitment from NBC. Bird Runningwater is also co-producing the series which chronicles the lives of a Native American family. I am excited about this and hope it gets picked up for a full series. (Deadline)
