This week’s episode is fitting for the Halloween season when we finally get to talk about Nia DaCosta’s long-awaited and highly anticipated Candyman a remake of the 1992 original horror classic, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Teyonah Parrish. In this updated version we meet Anthony (Yahya Abdul- Mateen II) and his girlfriend, Brianna, (Teyonah Parrish) as they are settling into their new Chicago loft, which now stands where the Cabrini Green Housing Projects used to be. After hearing the story of Candyman Anthony becomes intrigued and gets a spark of creativity. In doing so he accidentally unleashes so much than inspired art.
